FREDLØS (2018) Fredløs is the Norwegian word for «outlaw». Directly translated Fredløs means «Without peace». This project is about the children and their mothers and fathers who are being sent back to Afghanistan againts their will. They have got a refusal on their asylum application, but none of them want to return to Afghanistan voluntarily, so they are waiting for their deportation back to their home country. The youths are here without their parents. Afghanistan is one the most dangerous countries to live in for children and youths. The year of 2018 was the most deadly year for civilians. Still, Norway return children, and families to Afghanistan - often by police force. Meanwhile, they live their life in uncertainty, often with big traumas from war and the flight through Europe. Because of the difficult situation the families and children are in, and because of their security when returniing to Afghanistan I did not want to reveal their names and faces. The project is supported by Save The Children.
